“Get closer and lift me up a bit more” demanded Chi. “There’s a hen in this bamboo, seems like the best spot for a nap!”
Rei huffed in an annoyance as more chickens came to surround him, curious of the intruders. All he wanted was to go get his lunch!
In Okami, there are eight Canine Warriors that the player needs to find. Out of them all, four have little personality shown and no story truly given. The main thing we get to see about these four is that they're lazy and always hungry!
Finding ideas to make a diorama for each of them is challenging due to this limited 'personality', and even more challenging when two are just standing in separate caves standing there doing nothing.
As such, I decided to group Chi with Rei, and will group Ko with Shin.
To make the diorama more fun to work on, I decided to make Chi a bit silly and Rei more grumpy (he's hungry poor pup!).
Kusa Village, the location where they live, is the place where the majority of the chicken we can feed are found, so I added a few them to make this little scene more interesting to look at.
As usual, 3D sculpted in Blender, printed with plant based resin, primed and painted with acrylics.
Chi: beholder of the Knowledge orb. Japanese Spitz, as stated in the official artbook.
Rei: beholder of the Honour orb. English Pointer. The artbook lists him as a Pointer without mentioning the exact breed, I went with the English Pointer based on the game's model ear length and shapes of the patches.
